Not quite sure this is what is meant by BLW

Have been very patiently waiting for 26 weeks so I can start my LO off, however I am at the self-service tills today and give my LO (24 weeks) my shopping list to play with (he likes crinkling paper) whilst I do the scanning. Turn back to find he has eaten half the shopping list AND when I ask him if he has eaten the shopping list he clamps his mouth shut and looks as if butter wouldn't melt. I had to basically force his mouth open (nicely of course) and do a sweep to get all the mashed paper out. He of course thought this was great fun....

Libra, have a gander at this site run by a MNer called Aitch, lots and lots about BLW there.

DS sounds a lovely cheeky monkey

Cheers BALD already on it

My youngest is only 3 and it's like computers really it all changes! I haven't a clue what blw is either! Something to do with weaning but what/??

LiffeyValleyOfTheDolls · 30/12/2008 16:57

Sorry, this is on the WEANING board, so I'm an absolute genius for figuring out that much. I thought this thread was on the chat board, like, what's all this blw stuff??? I don't think anybody with a child over 3 would know

right. I'll shut up now.

AnarchyAunt · 30/12/2008 16:58

Its waiting til they can sit up and get food into their mouths, then giving them table scraps finger food

BALD · 30/12/2008 16:58

Oh liffey what are you like eh?

Libralovesbiscuits1975 · 30/12/2008 18:26

I should have really put it in chat if that helps...

I am into weaning right now...looks like he's ready

DS and DD1 had printer paper as their first food, DH clinging to the belief that you can do lots of jobs while minding a baby.

I asked him the other day which colour paper he was going to try DD2 (4.5 months) on and got an indecipherable, mutley-style response

My LO (24 weeks) was licking a picture of some scallops in sainsburys magazine earlier this week... so thinking maybe he's ready for solids... & if it's truly BLW I should start with seafood not fruit & veg?!?
