Baby won't take bottle any more - what are the alternatives, and how do I do it?

I've tried everything.
Could someone summarize the pros and cons of
A doidy cup
Tommee Tippee cups - I have 3 (!!), one 'traditional' one, one with a fast flow teat, and one he has to suck hard on (and doesn't).
Just an ordinary cup.

How do I get him to take it from a cup?

He's 25 weeks, btw, and happily took a bottle until Saturday.

I'd keep persevering, once a day with a bottle, around 6 months my EBF DS wouldn't take a bottle as he had done previously, you just have to keep giving it and he should remember. I think it took nearly a fortnight until he remembered what to do with it in his mouth. Other than that, a TT sippy cup would probably be your best bet, but children really seem to vary between 6-12 months on how well they drink from cups. Good luck!

DD did this for a few weeks - just kept trying and eventually she took the bottle again no problem - i think it was her teeth hurting her - if we gave her calpol 30/40mins before a feed she took the bottle - teething gel also helped! you could try www.lloydspharmacy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=958&storeId=90&productId=3 07693&langId=-1&parentcategoryrn=17787&top=&top_category=14215
our dd has found this easiest as the spout is more like a bottle! worth a try?
good luck!

Try warming the milk up to a higher temperature, if it is her teeth she may find the warmth a comfort, like a hot water bottle for tummy ache. It worked for my DD.

I know everyone says this for everything, but it could be teething.

My dd suddenly stopped drinking her milk at 20 weeks or so, would scream when she saw the bottle and drank less than half her usual for around a week. I was going up the walls and tried I don't know how many teats and cups. I thought she didn't like milk any more. She seemed to hate the bottle. One day she only had one bottle the whole day and I nearly took her to hospital but was reassured by a midwife friend to hold off and see how she was the next day as she seemed otherwise very healthy. The next day a tooth appeared!! She showed no other signs of teething at all. And she has been guzzling down loads of bottles of milk since. So that could be the problem..? If so, try fairimum's advice.
