my DS didn't really start eating much until 9 months, which I think is quite normal. I've done BLW - can you expand on how you did BLW, in terms of what you offered in front of DS, when in terms of milk feeds, what he did with the foods? Other BLWers may then be able to give more useful advice.

well i started originally with baby rice and purees which were all accepted the first time then never again, so i ended up trying more and more trying to find something he liked. then i realised that was all wrong, so i just offered him bits of steamed brocoli, rice cakes, pieces of fruit,
but by then he just seemed to lose interest, and i feel i put him off, so he didn't even grab food off my plate anymore, like he was at five months.

now he will eat a bit of shepherds pie, occasionally a piece of chicken and a few spoons of chick and veg mush and banana rice pudding for his tea when he is starving. but he just hardly eats anything.

i try to space his milk feeds in between mealtimes

I have a friend whose baby had a very small appetite at 7 months. He went for a check up for other reasons and the docs did a blood test which showed very low iron levels. He's now on iron supplements and follow on milk as well as breast and is starting to get more interested in food and starting to get a little colour in his cheeks. This may be completely irrelevant but perhaps worth checking out? On the other hand if your ds is otherwise lively and energetic perhaps he's doing well on his limited diet?
