Is it normal for a baby to go off solids with a cold?

I have been introducing my 6 mo baby to solids for a couple of weeks now. All was going well until he got a cold (and it's a stinker - he sneezed ten times in a row this morning and each sneeze brought the most amazing rivers of snot gushing down his face - poor love) and now he really only wants milk. He'll have a couple of small spoonfuls, if that, and then get distracted and not open his mouth.

Is this normal? I'm still BFing, by the way.

Very.

Yes I'd say it was very normal. I always try and remember how I feel when I've got a stinking cold and you do lose your appetite for a while don't you. He's obviously going for the comfort of his milk while he's poorly and will soon be back onto his solids I'm sure.
Try not to worry x

Yup. Just roll with it and when he's better he'll get back on his grub! He'll be getting all he needs from his milk.

He probably has a sore throat and feels all bunged up so can't taste anything anyway.

Yes, just keep bfeeding.
He'll eat like a horse when he recovers from cold and you'll wonder why you ever worried
