What foods def aren’t suitable for BLWing at eight months?

Hi all

DD is going to nursery soon and I want her to continue BLW but am a bit worried about the staff shoving all kinds of things in her gob.

So what can she definitely NOT have at eight months? So far I?ve got grapes, nuts, raw veg, apple chunks. Is there anything else?

Why don't you ask them what they plan to offer her and point out what you DON'T want her to have. Most nurseries have weekly menu plans you should ba able to review with them.

You may need to speak with them in some detail about BLW, they may not have come across it before and may need some support/advice/info.

Oh yes I am going to ? but I want to write a do not list just in case. I am a bit paranoid I suppose.

honey

I agree it's much better to say 'make sure fruit and veg are soft' than give a list of 'do not's

surely if the staff are 'shoving things into her gob' then they don't have a clue what BLW is? I guess just ask what they do provide and you can say whether it's suitable. I agree with Pheebe that you need to go through what is BLW is- perhaps you're there at a meal so you can show what your DD can do and how you approach meals?

i gave grapes at that age but did cut them into quarters. As they get older you can cut them in half instead. All of the op's list could be choking hazards but you just have to watch them closely.
