So can my mostly BLWed 8 month old have lumpy purees?

Hi all!

DD is very good with her spoon so I quite fancy giving her lumpy stuff like fish pie or rice that she can feed herself. Is that ok for a BLW baby or do I have to be a bit careful in case she doesn't notice the lumps?

Thanks!

she'll be fine. what she will be unfamiliar with is being spoon-fed, so take it slow if you're going to do that. but if you're just loading it up or even letting her loose with her own bowl, it'll be no problem. although my fish pie is quite lumpy anyway so dd ate it with her hands for the longest time.

She should be fine with that.

I will probably be letting her loose . This does make it easier as we do tend to eat soggy stuff anyway.
