would this be too much salt?

ds had a slice of cheese on toast for lunch. Do you think it would be too much salt in one day if I gave him some beans and mashed potato (one of his favs) for his tea?? He's 10.5 months.

i think it's best to think about the salt thing as an average over a few days - so if your DS eats that for tea today, then perhaps you have a really low-salt day tomorrow? I buy low-salt&sugar beans and make mash with a little bit of mustard and pepper to make it tasty without salt, plus I make bread so it minimises the salt in that too. He is nearing 1 so you might be able to be a bit more generous than strictly 1g per day.
(btw sounds like your DS is having some lovely meals!)
