Am having a brain fart about what I could or should be feeding my 7 month old. Gizza clue!

I weaned him at 26 weeks which was 4 weeks ago. I didn't do baby rice or puree.

He has vegetables, fruit, pasta, couscous, potato, rice cakes, bagels, bread and a bit of cream, butter or milk.

It seems a bit limited. Was thinking of introducing pulses, and wondering about cheese?

I know I should know all this. I've forgotten and I can't find my book. Any advice instructions very much appreciated!

(Baby Broc thanks you too )

he can have anything you do except (um) honey, shellfish and choky things like nuts

so cheese, pulses, meat, fish, rice, mini shredded wheats, fishcakes, curry, roast chicken...

Pulses and cheese sound lovely. I used to do mixed veg (cauli, broccoli , carrots etc) in a cheese sauce for DS at that age and he loved it.
Also lentilly stew - lots of veg and lentils stewed with a tin of tomatoes. Or a similar style of thing with chickpeas or other beans. The lentil one was good though as the lentils cook to mush and the veg gets nice and soft.

Oh he has shredded wheats and porridge too. I forgot breakfast.

Righty. Lentils and cheese here we come. Prepare yourself for a taste sensation my boy!

Umm... eggs? He's had them in cooking because I forgot there were eggs in the pankakes I'd just made .

oh yes eggs are fine for non-allergicky types - dd loved a one-egg omlette cut into postage-stamps

also with omelette chuck smaller stuff to eat like peas, spinach, etc.
I think when DS was 7-8 months I started to think about what meals we ate, and then thought about how I could make it so that DS could eat it. As we eat an evening meal once DS is in bed, I try and save a bit so he can have it reheated the next day. Mashed potato 1 day on is actually easier for him to eat, and he loves it! DS had mashed potato, fish fingers, and steamed broccoli, green beans, and peas - could you give these?
