Cooking with Wine

Something tells me I probably shouldn't be cooking with wine when DD is going to have the same as us - is that right? For example, my pasta sauces usually have a generous glug of red wine.

I know the alcohol burns off so that the food will not be alcoholic, but perhaps its bad because of the sugar content?

Does anyone have a view they wish to share?

There's no problem with this - the amount of wine used is minimal, the alcohol burns off very quickly.

I agree it will be fine, but I don't actually know for sure so don't take my word for it!

I don't worry toooo much about sugar if it is in a home cooked meal like that. I don't like babies having loads of crap which is full of sugar but I think that in a balanced meal a bit is fine.
