I did it, I gave her toast, and a rice cake!

Had a friend here for moral support yesterday. DD is 8 months old and I KNOW she is ready for finger foods but I was too scared of the gagging (gave her pear and she gagged on it a few weeks ago - too nervous to try again) .
Well yesterday I gave her well-buttered toast fingers and an Organix rice cake.
Both were a huge success.
Far from stuffing huge bits into her mouth and then trying to swallow them, she quite delicately sucked on each piece of toast and nibbled it.
Three top teeth are all coming in at once so I think she finds it quite comforting.
She did the same with the rice cake.

A couple of little coughs, and didnt gag once.

Proud, relieved Mummy here!
