it's grossing me out to watch her pick 'em up again and have another go but it seems mean to scoop them in the bin when she's having such a nice time regurgitating and re-eating (barf)

I absolutely leave it there to be eaten. waste of good food otherwise. if he doesn't mind then I don't either

cmotdibbler · 13/11/2008 20:23

Yep, leave them to eat it. I think its quite important as they are understanding about chewing and what happens

callmeovercautious · 13/11/2008 20:27

Leave it, I know it can be yuck but so is puree

Just wait until she wants to share with you

TeenyTinyTorya · 13/11/2008 20:29

Let her eat it. As cmoc says, before long you'll be offered a bit of squishy gunk.

EyeballsintheSky · 13/11/2008 20:29

I can deal with anything except banana, which isn't pleasant in its original state, never mind recycled!

Wallace · 13/11/2008 20:31

Ah that's what you mean.

I thought yuo meant do you stick them in the soup, or use them in a stew

MadameCheese · 13/11/2008 20:32

I give it to the dog

deaconblue · 13/11/2008 20:33

mmmmmmmmmmmm Wallace, what a delicious recipe idea. Dd left today soggy chips (homemade therefore virtuous), flakes of fish strewn everywhere, and kept returning again and again to roasted courgette. It's the lumps of cheddar that has been sucked and spat out that make me a bit queasy

have

When DD first started eating food, after meals I'd take her highchair in the garden and leave it out for an hour. The cat or the birds would eat all the food and then I'd wash it down with disinfectant ready for next time

deaconblue · 13/11/2008 20:42

I've been bunging her food covered bib straight in the washing machine til I found congealed cheddar on my newly washed clothes this morning. Will scrape it in future. (makes mental note that getting a cat may make life easier)

I must be weird because sometimes I eat them myself (if only a bit chewed). Only when she's definately finished. Really chewed stuff the dogs get. I have been known to mince a few things with my front teeth for dd too.

frans · 14/11/2008 14:13

She gets them right back! Seems to have an easier time chewing second time round too!
