Ideas for rice for BLW baby

DH and I eat lots of rice but apart from a bit of leftover risotto, i haven't really tried DS with rice as not sure how best to offer it to him. Any tips on ways to give rice to BLW babies that make it easy for them to pick it up? He's 7mo so not yet got his pincer grasp, although he's very good at scooping and shovelling

Also what is the whole issue with reheating rice - for some reason i seem to think there is something dodgy about it. any ideas on how to do it right?

Rice balls are great - cook rissotto rice and then squidge it up, or you can use sushi rice. You can also make a slightly posher version by mixing cold cooked rice with egg and frying it.

He might suprise you by just scooping up rice if it is in a bowl.

Reheating rice - make sure you cool it quickly (run under cold tap) and then get it in the fridge or freezer straightaway. Its only when left hanging around that its a problem. I always cook lots of rice at a time and freeze it in sandwich bags, so I can grab a bag, sling it in the microwave and have it in a couple of minutes. More energy efficient too.
