Reluctant BLW-er needs advice/tips

Well, I wasn't going to do BLW (it's the mess you see) but dd2 has other ideas and is refusing to eat anything which has been near a blender whilst grabbing great fistfuls of whatever else comes her way and smearing them in the approximate direction of her mouth.

So, some questions:

  • what do I give her for breakfast?
  • apart from honey and nuts is there anything I shouldn't give her? She's 6.5 mths and there are no allergies in the family
  • how much do I offer her at a meal?

breakfast- toast, eggs (scrambled/omelette), cereal (mini shredded wheat type things are good, as are mini weetabix things), yoghurt with fruit.

nothing much you can't give her. just avoid things high in salt, so no ready meals, ready sauces etc. also some people avoid strawberries, kiwi and raw tomato for the firt year as these are allergy prone. you don't have to though.

offer her a little at a time, minimises the mess and the waste. so maybe 3 handfuls at a time at first.
