He's not supposed to have egg is he? Should I not have given him pancakes? I wasn't thinking. He had them with a lovely curry sauce, if that helps ...

I gave DD egg from 6 months, would have held back if any family allergies etc but there isn't and she loves it!

I have a vague idea we're supposed to wait until 1.

Of course, I am sat here wondering this on the internet. I could just go and google.

whats in pancakes? Eggs?
I'm surprised he can chew panckaes to be honest!

I'm even more suprised that he liked curry sauce tbh.

(hope it was a home made one!)

DonDons · 08/11/2008 18:13

as long as it is well cooked I think it is fine. DD is 6.5 months and picks omlette up and chews it.

Eggs, milk, flour, butter, oil. Usually salt but I left it out as was making them for the children .

He ate them no trouble. Loved them.

Kidding, of course home made.

My almost 7 month loves pancakes (made no salt too)! He can chew with no teeth no problem. Must be from my pancake addiction that my Grandma started me on.

Pancakes were one of dd's first foods at 6 mo - great finger food, as you can put fruit, veg, cheese etc into the mix. I think it's the well-cooked thing that's important. It's quite astounding what they can chew with no teeth - pancakes were no problem at all, and she had a good go at roast chicken at that age.
