ds will eat food, but not drink milk now

Has anyone had problems with babies not taking milk? When I try to offer milk to my 9mnth old he's not interested. If he does drink it, he brings it back up within an hour. When I mention it to GP / HV, they say 'Just keep trying' 'He needs 20oz a day' etc. This seems a lot, he only had 24oz a day before he started solids. I feel so bad for making my child sick, but I don't know what to do. We've tried changing his milk but this makes no difference. Can anyone help?

Does he have other food with milk in, i.e. cereal, porridge, sauces, yoghurt etc?

Could you try and up these sort of dishes, it's amazing how quickly you reach a pint this way.

He has one yoghurt a day and that goes stays down okay, but anything else comes back up - he has 4oz on weetabix for breakfast but that makes him sick too, we've tried baby porridge, ready brek.

could he have developed an allergy to his milk?

tbh i wouldnt worry - he is prob getting enough dairy through yogurts/rice pudding/cheese and cheese sauces - 20oz includes all the above

if he is gaining weight and sleeping through night i wouldnt worry

Thanks for help. I have cut out his mid morning milk and replaced it with yoghurt which seems to suit him much better. I'm thinking exactly the same as you said - he's gaining weight, sleeping through, is perfectly happy and healthy so no point making him ill by giving him something he clearly doesn't want or need. Touch wood he seems to be okay now so all good
