I need a simple explanation as my brain is fried from too little sleep. This is my 3rd dc and this concept was not around with the other two. It sounds like it might be great but haven't a clue what it is. My ds is 6 months and has reflux. The reflux might be allergy related so need to be careful what I feed him and definetely avoid dairy for a while. Please tell me all about it. Thanks

Hello!
Try www.babyledweaning.com for answers to everything

Basically, the aim is for your baby to eat the same meals as you. You put the food in front of them and let them play, sometimes they eat a bit. You try to enjoy them playing/eating, rather than worrying about how much they eat.

So for you, you might want to offer different steamed veg to start with...

I couldn't make head or tail of that babyledweaning website.
Wasn't convinced of it;s merits until I read about it on wikipedia

there's also a really good guide in the guardian from yesterday, plus a new book out by gill rapley who is a HV who did research into BLW.
