Says my mum.........

So how many of you give you LOs puddings all the time??
And do you count fruit as a pud??

When my ds1 was weaning, he wouldn't touch any of the sweet, dessert type foods - even stewed fruit. He stuck to savoury foods until he was well over a year old - and then he discovered chocolate, and has never looked back.

I'd say its up to you what to give your dc - mine get yoghurts or something similar most days, but now they're older, its up to them whether they have pudding or not.

One useful tip - if you feed your dc something that leaves their face messy, and then feed them fromage frais, it seems to help clean their faces off - ie they get the fromage frais round their mouths and when you whip that off with the spoon and give it back to them, anything left from the main course comes off too.

Of course, this could just mean that we were dirty dirty parents who didn't wipe the ds's faces between main course and pud!
