what is best time of day to start weaning?

Just about to start weaning my DS and was curious to find out what time of day is best. I have had conflicting information. Also i have never yet given my DS water should i start now?

I was told you should always wean new foods before late afternoon so that if they have any reaction to the food you won't have put them to bed and not notice.

don't know whether you should be weaning - how old is your ds?

When we started DD we did it at lunchtime.

hi cheers guys! DS is 5 months, yeh i know, "too early" he is showing all signs. will give it a go tomorrow, bring on the mess!!!

Lunch time, and with baby rice. She loved it and on day 2 took the small cup (a bottle lid I think) and drank it

She was 6m and ex BF to that point. It made me cry!

We did BLW after that as she hated purees and wanted to feed herself. She still hates mixed up food.
