When you started BLW did you just offer food at every meal sitting?

I am happy that I can do veg, toast, banana etc but should I offer from the off breakfast, lunch and tea even though I am not expecting him to eat it all!

yes, every meal, I figured hardly anything went in so it wasn't like suddenly DS had a huge quantity that would displace his intake. breakfast tips would be either porridge pancake (i.e. cold porridge lumps!) or shredded wheat bitesize.

Good tips although are the bitesized shreddies not a bit rough? Mind you he'll probably just suck them to death!

you soak the shredded wheat in milk till they are soggy first.

or shreddies!

Is shredded wheat ok at 6 months? I asked HV about weetabix and she said not till one year.

She has never heard of blw

Neenz - how bizarre when weetabix is what most HV's go on about giving your baby

I offered at each meal from the start

MrsJamin · 24/10/2008 21:36

shredded wheat is just 100% wheat - so just follow guidelines on wheat, i.e. fine from 6 months, perhaps be a bit more careful if you have wheat allergies in the family.
