Do they mean 6 calendar months or 24 weeks when they say wean at 6 months??

Friend was planning to give solids this week - her DS is 21 weeks and she feels he's ready. But now suddenly not sure if they mean 6 calendar months before you should introduce solids??

52 divided by 2 = 26 so 26 weeks hth
