She's 14 months. Last week she was off her food pretty much completely due to teething. She's still teething but the pain seems to have eased off a bit so she's eating again. She's having quite a big breakfast of about 10 bitesize shredded wheat and some fruit. At lunch time I offer some finger food, today it was carrot and cheese pitta fingers. She didn't touch it at all. Tonight she ate a baby sized portion of frittata and some fruit. Is this enough for her. Should I keep offering or leave it for a bit, or just offer a smaller snack instead? She still bfs 4 times a day and about 2-3 times at night. TIA

Let her choose what she wants - it's a rare baby who'll starve themselves! [smile[

Just keep offering the breast, you may find she prefers to camp out there rather than have solids, and that's fine IMO. Maybe offer her some nice soft fruit like mango or cold fruit for her to chew on like watermelon? Expensive I know - but may just be enough to tickle her tastebuds!!

Though so, thanks

She's always been a bit of a boob addict but even worse now. Just keeps shoving her hand down my top and saying 'yeh peez.' How am I supposed to refuse that? I've been giving her soft sweet fruits like overripe pears and things and she seems quite keen on them. Might pick a watermelon up as she's quite keen on them. Do you need to pick the seeds out before you give them it?

I've never bothered for my ds but then I might be hideously neglectful!
