Lambs liver

It's OK to give my 7mo DD lambs liver?

Bought some today, I really like it and think it would make perfect food for BLW.

I would say it's a bit too strong a flavour for a 7mo old, but then I wouldn't eat it so the thought wouldn't have crossed my mind.

I'm pretty sure babies used to be weaned on mushed up liver in the 1950s though.

Just done a quick google and it's just fine according to our very own Aitch
(scroll down to the entry for Thurday 5th April)

Thanks, I read this, but also read the bit about the Dutch site saying about toxins. But we're not Dutch

Has anyone given liver before?

I think the toxins thing would only be a cause for concern if the baby was eating liver lots, but a few bits to try on the odd occasion shouldn't hurt.

If you keep this bumped, hopefully someone will be along with more advice
