Introducing eggs

I want to introduce eggs to DD's diet so it will hopefully give more variety to what I give her.

I plan to give her some egg at breakfast tomorrow. Do I need to give her the yolk only and if she is ok then try her with yolk and white another time? Or do I just go for it?

Yep introduce one and then the other because apparently some people can be allergic to the yolk and not the white and vice versa.

I think yolk tends to be safer than white.
My DS is allergic to egg, didn't show up until 3rd day of trying it.
I'd give like half a yolk for a few days and make sure very thoroughly cooked.
If I had my time again, I wouldn't introduce white until he was a year old tbh, but then I am obviously very overcautious now!

likessleep how did your ds react to the egg?

I waited until 1 year with egg white, my bf's dd was violently allergic and ended up in hospital.

I know this is very rare but I too am overcautious.

My DS was only mildly allergic.
His ears and nose went bright pink, he got really hot cheeks with a rash over them and his lips and eyes looked puffy.
He then got a rash up his arms and torso.
He got these all within the hour and they then went within the hour.
Compared to WWWTW, my DSs reaction was mild, but still I will be ultra careful next time around (no history of egg allergy in family).
