Kidney beans in salted water??

Hi i want to do chilli for my DS but the kidney beans i get (in germany) are in salted water. Is this ok to give to DS who is 9 months??

Also can i give him normall baked beans and heinz spagetti hoops and things like that yet??

don't know what's available in germany, but in UK you can also get kidney beans in plain water. If using salted, I'd probably rinse lots in plain water first, to reduce salt content, but then I'm a bit paranoid about salt. However, I do give ds (8mo) low salt baked beans (also Heinz), as he has only a little and it tends to be more bean than juice. Are they available anywhere near you?

No never seen the low salt baked beans over here unforuntalty.

Had a look in the supermarket today at two different makes of kidney been and both where in water with salt from what i could understand.
