DD refuses lumpy food

DD is 9 and a half months and weighs only 13lb 7oz. She has up til now been eating ok I have gradually been making food a little more lumpy and been introducing finger foods, but she has now decided she does not want to eat lumps! What should I do she will eat food she does not need to chew but because of her weight and poor intake of milk. I am starting to get stressed now, can anyone pleeeeeeese help.

By that age my second was refusing anything on a spoon except yoghurts. But she loved finger food and we just gave her stuff she could feed herself - it's messy but fun.
Does your daughter eat finger food still?

I'd back off, give her what she likes and enjoys and try again in a couple of weeks. Keep offering the finger foods, get her to feed you and make sure you both have fun at meal times (not just shovelling the food in then off to the next thing). Most importantly don't get stressed, she'll sense it and it'll make her anxious.

DS2 is doing something similar, he wolfs down purrees and finger foods like no tomorow but atm some days just doesn't want to be bothered with lumps. Lazy imo but we're just going with the flow.

Attempts to eat finger foods and has just wolfed down half a digestive biscuit at grannies house, wrong thing I know. Because of her weight I worry about getting the right nutrition but I don't want to frighten her, maybe I should still use puree with finger foods. We have to see a paeditrician about her weight on Thurs so that will either help or finish me off!
