Book says to boil or steam veggies for puree, what about microwaving?

Can't see that this would be a problem, any thoughts?

Yes, I thought that (not about the steriliser) but that I steam our veg in a pyrex bowl with a lid and surely that's as good?

microwaving in water = boiling, more or less

is this prescriptive book by a certain AK?

do whatever you like, the world won't end if it;s zapped not steamed, or even if you just hand her a bit of leftover carrot from your own plate. Weaning should be fun, not stressy

easiest method I've found is a little plastic tupperware tub with holes in the top, put in a bit of water, stick in various frozen veg, put in microwave for 2 mins, there, done- with no other washing up or energy used.

I use our microwave rice steamer, works fine, but as ll said, it is possible to overdo broccoli! It can get rubbery.

Thanks all! Tee hee MrsB, yes

Actually microwaving destroys antioxidants in veg, now I'm panicking!
