Of course they're not a choking hazard am guessing the baby in question is more or less on normal meals anyway

yes of course, they are too small to choke on. Let the baby pick them on, great for developing finger movement.

Trafficcone, I was still worried about peas when ds was 1 - due to paranoid book I had which made just about everything not pureed seem potentially lethal - and you get all this advice for babies on safety, hygiene etc then half the time nobody thinks to tell you when you can stop worrying about it! - there's always loads of niggles left about really specific things, aren't they, hillbilly...

I worried about giving peas too! I gave them to my ds at 9 months but he's 13 months now and I still squish them a bit so they are not so round and easy to choke on! pfb!

DD adores peas...Shes been having them since she was 6months old.

Peas are a good source of nutrition for 11m old and fabby green and encourage pincer grip.

You should give peas a chance.
