Not puttin on weight

My dd is 7 months old and her weight gain has always been pretty poor, she was born 6lb 7oz and is now 12lb 15oz. We have been referred to the hosptial to see a specialist, she is a thriving baby, she eats a good breakfast, 2 course lunch and tea but is not that fussed about milk. She has 2 pathetic breast feeds morning and night and one bottle in the afternoon and I am lucky if she gets past 4oz. I am worried about what they will do and also if I am missing anything. Has anyone else got any info or been in this situation?

I don't have any info as such but do have a DS (20 weeks, so not yet on solids) who has been fairly slow to put on weight so understand where you are coming from. As long as your daughter seems happy and healthy and meeting her milestones, and is putting on weight regularly (even if not as much as an average baby) then you should try not to worry unduly.

I wanted to bump this for you as there are plenty of people in the same situation on here, but also wanted to point you in the direction of this thread It's lots of mums with slow weight gain stories - very supportive People don't post on it very often unless they have news but lots of people watch that thread so if you post people will come and give you the benefit of their experiences.

jellybrains - you've posted in the right place FWIW it took me ages to pluck up the courage to start my first thread in case everybody ignored me!!!

I just wanted to point you in the direction of the slow weight gain thread as I know the ladies there will definitely understand what you're going through.
