custard - the end of weaning as we know it?

Today I gave my DD (7.5 months) some fruit and custard. Lordy, did she love it! And has she wanted to eat anything else since? No.

Please, please tell me all the carefully handcrafted vegetable purees sitting in my freezer aren't destined for the bin.

She's eaten fine until now.

We have had similar experiences off and on.
Can you mix some of your frozen purees with custard? I know it sounds gross but if she likes it it might work....
That or go cold turkey....

She wont starve herself. Don't offer custard for awhile and she will eat other things again. I don't think at 7.5 months they have a very long memory!

Thanks for your answers. She's still doing a pretty good job of refusing, but I'll persevere!

Try not adding any sugar to the custard- she'll soon start to go back to other stuff

Well, so far, BLW seems to be the answer. She just scoffed some cheese sticks and peas!

Oh. Yup, Lucky, that sounds quite like the nightmare I had with Sabela. I don't knwo which is more difficult, haveing DH sleeping or Dh in another country - which I had. Probably DH sleeping. I'm afraid I Went for alternate doses of Calpol and ibuprofen. IT was the only thing that had any effect. Some people say AShton and PArsons but they had NO effect on Sabela.

Sending you sympathy. I was really at the end of my tether and even lost my temper with DD several times. I punched the wall! I was on my knees praying at four in the morning night after night. ANd I had the kicking too.
