She's 10 months. I put humus (sp) on it and she loves it but need new ideas!

Philadelphia is lovely. Tuna and mayo (I use tuna in springwater as less salty).

p.s. what is dvd or is it a tiny typo?

dvd's toast - hummus, dairylea
vcr's toast - I would just serve it dry (esp if betamax)

hughjarssss · 17/08/2008 18:36

LOL! Obv. I meant dd - doh!

oh, thought it was an apple mac question and got all excited as I don't know how to use toast!

supercherry · 17/08/2008 18:47

Unsalted butter, mashed banana, melted cheese, pilchards? (or would that be a bit too strong tasting?)

hughjarssss · 17/08/2008 18:57

Why hadn't I thought of cheese on toast? - Fab idea!

How do you do pilchards on toast? I've never had pilchards before

French toast. Both my babies loved pilchards and sardines on toast from quite a young age. They stink though. I buy the tins with no bones as I am lazy. You can mash them into the toast or blend them with phillidelphia to make a sort of pate.

EyeballsintheSky · 17/08/2008 19:00

I thought it was a Mac question too I do know how to use Toast but my illegal copy is so old that it's probably loads different.

hughjarssss · 17/08/2008 19:05

She loves french toast savoy. Will try pilchards and sardines - I like giving her new flavours. I hadn't even thought of pilchards or sardines

We only have our bins collected once every two weeks so I have to plan my pilchard eating around that!

supercherry · 17/08/2008 19:13

Pilchards on toast- well I buy tinned pilchards in tomatoe sauce and just spread it onto buttered toast- you can even grill it- with or without cheese! It's really good for you (Omega 3 etc) not sure about the salt content though so you might want to check.

supercherry · 17/08/2008 19:14

sorry, tomato sauce!

hughjarssss · 17/08/2008 19:18

Thanks supecherry, will check that

depending on how you are with allergies, my lo's liked peanut butter on toast from about 9 months. High fruit jam also goes down well.

MrsJamin · 17/08/2008 20:42

There's St Dalfour jams with no added sugar, just lots of natural fruit, also fruit spreads.

hughjarssss · 17/08/2008 21:15

I had never heard of high fruit jams before
The St Dalfour jam looks really tasty .. I might share that with dd

Well dd has eggs and other things with no allergies Seona so she should be ok with peanut butter
