What cheeses for under ones???

Totally confused. Am I right in thinking that soft cheeses contain the risk of listeria or is it just unpasteurised soft cheeses? As for hard cheeses, everywhere I've read said they're ok but they seem to contain a lot of salt. Can anyone give me a definative list of what cheeses I can use please as I just blanked out at the counter today?? Thank you.

Just unpasteurised. you don't eat a lot of hard cheese at a time, so don't worry about the salt content. Buy nice, tasty cheese - not bland Baby Bel

I had been feeding him little cheddar until a mother told me it had a high salt content. Was wanting to expand on his range though so that helps a lot, thanks cmotdibbler
