When you give a baby a new food and they blow raspberries and pull a face, does that mean.......

they dont like it or it maybe they just didnt expect what it was they got?

I cant quite decide.

Some foods ds2 will eat quite happily and open his mouth ready for it. These seem to be mostly fruit or tomato based meals such as bolognese and other sweetish savoury foods like sweet potato.

He's nearly 8 months btw

my DD (almost 9mo) does 'the face' with new foods quite a lot too. sometimes though i find that she'll quite happily take them the second time she's offered them, sometimes she'll take a bit and then pull a face. It seems to vary from day to day.

Like your ds2 though, she'll eat anything sweet - her tongue practically hangs out of her mouth for yoghurt. I think that's pretty common though from a completely unscientific study amongst my friends with babies of the same age.

I think it generally just means it's a new taste for them.

Right, I will keep trying with him then.

I've had such different experiences with weaning my other children.
