Help! DD can't tolerate milk... what can I cook with instead?

DD (8mths) eats everything we eat, but can't tolerate dairy at the mo (hopefully that will pass in the months to come ). If I am cooking eg fish pie, what can I use instead of cows milk? And what about cheddar cheese... what could I cook with instead? And yoghurt... is there a dairy free version suitable for babies (ie without masses of sugar and salt etc)?

Doc said soyformula called Wysoy for when I finally drop a bf, but it's the cooking I am more concerned about.

Yours, in desperation,

Dairy free yoghurt is not good food for babies IMO. I have not found one that I would feed 22m DS. Ditto soya 'cheese'etc.

I use soya milk in cooking and that is okay, but there is also rice milk and oat milk - no protein in these though, which is why I don't use them. TBH I wouldn't worry about what you use in cooking as it is a small amount and the breast milk is providing everything your DD needs at the moment.
