Hi, I'm just wondering if it's ok to use cows milk to make up DS's cereal (he is 8 months). I pump every night to get milk for the morning but am I wasting my time? Is it better though that he gets maximum breast milk....? I which case should I just keep pumping? Thanks.

I do and have. BM needs to be main drink but a little bit is OK. If you want to express though, that's fine too - it's what works for you.

I think the recommendation is not to use cow's milk until 12 months as a main drink, but we gave DS cow's milk on his Weetabix from 6 months, seemed to be fine.

cows milk is ok with cereal, in cooking, in foods, etc from 6 months as long as the main drink remains breast/formula milk till 1 year.
