foods rich in iron?

Ive read that babies around 6-7 months need extra iron, but although I tried switching to follow on milk, my baby ended up very constipated so I am now going back to normal milk.

But I was hoping to get the extra iron from foods? Any suggestions?

She's not had meat yet, and is just turning 7 months...
thankyou

My DD was a bit low on iron and the pediatrician said broccoli and spinach are high in iron.

Red lentils are good for iron, easy to cook too, we like a bit of dhal in this house...

Also dried apricots - I used to give these halved to DS, but some people do things with boiling water and make puree. HTH

thanks both.
RhinestoneCG- I would love to give her lentils, but would they make her gassy? Her bowels are already 'blocked'?
