9mo has started finger feeding...

and I am not sure much is going in! Mealtimes are suddenly much more fun for him (and therefore me ). He was refusing to even try anything from a spoon, apart from porridge and yoghurt so I thought what the heck - better than nothing.
So today he had porridge and a bit of french toast at breakfast, a sandwich and orange for lunch and salmon fishcakes and broccoli for tea. He digs in with gusto, but when he is done I find most of it in the pocket of his bib!
Should I just relax and let him learn? Or supplement with some mush on a spoon?
