Does milk intake stay high with BLW?

Y'know with "traditional" weaning methods the aim is to build baby up to 3 meals a day and thus face out a couple of milk feeds.

When I weaned DS, the first to go was the late night one, then the mid morning one to be replaced by lunch etc

If "food is for fun til they are 1" does milk intake stay much the same/higher during the first stages?

the aim with BLW is for baby to eat 3 meals a day eventually too. but with BLW or puree, offer milk first , the baby will phase out feeds as and when they are ready.

milk intake should stay at the level that is right for your baby..

milk then food, and let your baby guide you

in the early stages, however you wean, food is a compliment not a replacement for milk and milk is the primary source of nutrition for the first year.

don;t worry about 3 meals a day from the off, your baby will enjoy the new tastes and textures and learn at their own pace
