DS is 8 mo and for the last 10 days has had bottom issues. All nappies are filled with undigested food (carrot and parsnip was amusing!), very runny and smelly. Doc says he is fine, no fever, vomiting - it will just right itself.
I wondered though if it was his body's way of saying something - too much food, the wrong food, system not ready for certain things?
He has 3 meals a day, small amounts not a huge appetite, and is still bf with the odd beaker of formula.
He has a mix of puree and finger food and is pretty much eating everything so far except fish.
Should I be limiting anything until he improves or go with the doctor and carry on regardless? I am worried he is not getting goodness from his food if it all ends up in his nappy!

The smell is normal (heave...).

The undigested food is prob normal - because it is actually partly digested and that's what it should look like (if you ever had such a close look at yours you might find the same - esp sweetcorn!).

Smell and undigested bits of food are quite normal.
Not sure about the runny bit, DD still bf and poo still relatively loose but not runny. Possibly a reaction to something if just happened in the last 10 days. Have you given his anything new in that time?

Lots of undisgested food here too, and often very runny, even at 16m.

A word from someone who's been there - what looks horribly like a tapeworm is almost certainly a slice of onion from that stew....
