ok ive started him on solids and he eats EVERYTHING. he even tried sucking garlic bread (with the anchovies removed (!) and screamed when i took it off him. I'd only given it to him in the first place because I assumed he'd spit it out!!

Are finger foods ok?

He's 24 weeks and is 15pounds...

I wouldnt worry about over feeding, if he is full he wont have it.
If he is anything like my ds he will want to put everything in his mouth that u give him food or not!
My ds is 24 weeks on thursday and was weighed two weeks ago and was 16lb 3oz. He was on 6lb at birth!!!!!

Mine eats for britain too. Make sure he's getting plenty of milk, but other than that, let him eat, I reckon.

DS is now, errrm, 29ish weeks I think, his eating seems to go in patches. Some days he eats tons, others he is less bothered. I was a little bit worried for the last couple of days because he was whining every time I put a spoon near him and refusing to eat, but it turns out that what he really wants is for me to load up the spoon and give it to him to put in his mouth he ate a whole portion of chicken and veg like that at lunch time. Since he's started in earnest with finger foods, it seems he wants to do it all himself.

Sorry, that was a bit OT.

No thank you!!

He can polish of a tommee tippee weaning plate full of puree/mashed stuff. Seemed rather a lot.

And he's not even 6 months yet

(runs for cover.....)
