8mo lunch ideas/inspiration

Currently my 8mo cycles between avocado toast, omelette/scrambled egg, banana pancakes, English muffin pizza or some chicken with chopped cucumber, sliced fruit, fruit mixed with yoghurt or the little baby crisp puffs.

They will have little homemade finger foods like beef meatballs, chicken and veg nuggets things or pasta, potato, veggies etc at their evening meal if they aren't having what we are or if we are eating later.

Anyone got any quick lunch ideas - we are usually coming in from a group so don't want to spend ages cooking with a hungry baby. I thought what I was doing was okay until I saw someone asking about babies eating eggs daily and a few people said if they don't have enough variety they can go off foods.

I think you’re going fine! 8 months is nothing and milk is still their main nution. There’s no rush to do 3 meals a day or anything.

Some quick foods you could try are avocado, hummus and cottage cheese.

My DD loved a plate of “bits” at that age, literally just little bits of whatever was in the fridge, cucumber, peppers, hummus, grated cheese, baby breadsticks, anything really. She was also a huge fan of eggy bread but that does continue the egg theme Smile
