Hello. I have bought a bag of pears for my 6 month old. Do I need to cook them? How long do I steam them for?

And can I freeze the puree?

I used to steam the pears until soft, puree, cool and then freeze. HTH

if they're ripe don't bother cooking them, just cut into strips (leave the skin on else they get too slippery) and hand them to her

Did exactly the same as mishy. Made it into ice cubes.

Mrs badger, I will try her with some for finger food but to be honest, she prefers the purees so we are doing a mixture.

Thanks

Do I need to peel them before I cook/blend?
