Ds wont eat baby rice anymore??

Ive been weaning my ds for a few weeks now. He started with just baby rice for a few days and then tried apple and then pear at lunch and he had baby rice at tea, we then started with veg for lunch and he would have babyrice with a fruit mixed in for tea.

We have procressed to more than one veg at lunch and the amount of rice is increasing at tea, but ds has decided along with his milk that he doesnt want his rice at tea time.
We have probs getting most of his bottles down but he always scoffed his solids no probs.

Anyone else had this happen, what should i give him instead for tea??

Ds had bad acid reflux so was put onto a prescribed formula to traet it. Then when he stopped being sick all the time I moved onto sma follow on (started on gold)

I struggled with dd for months to get her to have her milk, and finally gave up at about 11 months. She didn't touch a drop again till she was about 3. It was then (when she could voice an opinion) that I discovered that she absolutely hates warm milk. She will now gladly drink milk whenever offered (nearly 8 now btw). Have often wondered if i hadn't warmed up the milk if she would have carried on drinking it when she was a baby.
If only they could tell us what was wrong......

After writing this it has just dawned on me that she hates weetabix, but then i always automatically warm the milk up for that. I wonder if she would eat it with cold milk on . Having a tough breakfast time with her atm. But that's another thread

Well i will see how he goes if he dont have so much milk in the day, and if that dont improve will try a change in milk i think. Thanks for all the help and advise!

What milk is he having?

I started with SMA with DD1 and it was vile. Switched to Aptamil and she was much more inclined to drink it.

I know they are all similar in composition, but IME they do taste different. My nephew also hated SMA, as well as making him constipated and spotty he didn't like drinking it!

have you tried splitting the bottle feeds? so rather than trying to make sure you get a whole 8oz or whatever down him, like you say, maybe try just 4oz, then an hour later try again with the other 4? he maybe just doesn't like a big full tummy so much.
