Can someone please explain BLW to my dd?! She wants me to hold all the food!

We're only a week or so into BLW so I know it's early days, but dd seems to be much happier when I am holding the food!

I wanted to try a mix of spooned in stuff and finger foods, as mum and MIL are going to be doing some childcare and the spooned stuff sits better with them for now, and more importantly because she is a total bottle refuser and I wanted some way of getting EBM into her when I was doing the odd day at work, so she's had baby rice, porridge etc spooned in with a few oz of EBM.

She is quite happy getting spoon fed, but is also loving DRY finger foods and will happily hold and munch breadsticks, rice cakes and organix rusky things. She has picked up, tasted and rejected all veggie sticks eg carrot, sweet potatoes etc. She has also rejected them as mush though so I think maybe it's more to do with taste?

Anyway I've also tried her with sticks of things like banana, watermelon and she picks them up, flings them away, then flaps her arms around and opens her mouth and "shouts" for the food! No amount of persuading can get her to put them to her mouth herself, but if I hold them close to her mouth she will eat and eat, she put away almost half a big banana like that, but wouldn't pick it up herself!

Any suggestions?

NB I am being very "respectful" with the spooned stuff and never forced it, she is pretty keen to hold the spoon herself too, so other than when it is my precious EBM on the end she is well on her way to spoon feeding herself which is more BLW?

I have some mental hang up about purees don't know why!
