Simple meal ideas for seven/eight month old

My DS will be eight months in about a week. So far he has been eating things like sweet potato, potato, courgette, cauliflower, pepper, pasta and tomoatoe, chicken, salmon as well as finger foods like pitta bread, toast and fish fingers.

I feel that he gets the same things all the time now. Any suggestions for what to try next? I am rubbish cook so it needs to be easy!

The simplest and quickest meals I know are:

Pasta, cream cheese and tuna - there are so many varities you can do of this, change the tuna to chicken, mince, ham or sausages etc. Or add a veg to it. The cream cheese helps make a great a easy creamy sauce for pasta.

Beans on toast and cheese on toast - often forgotten, but so easy.

Mash potato - add other veg (peas, sweetcorn, sweet potato, swede, spinach), meat (ham, chicken, sausages) and make sure you add butter and/or milk to make it extra lush.

Oh, and if you make up batches of cheese sause, tom sauce and veg sauce, and freeze them in small portions, if you're running short on time they can be easily defrosted and chucked over just about anything.

Get yourself a baby recipe book. Dd had all sorts of great things to eat and its really easy. (pity she started eating only crap the minute she started nursery).
