7mth old BLW - what do you feed yours?

DS is 7months old and after a rocky start, it's becoming evident that he would really rather feed himself than have me shove spoons of puree into him. So what can I give him other than brocolli and steamed carrot sticks? Lovely lists of foods would be very gratefully recieved!

steamed apple
ripe pear
banana
yogurt
roasted sweet potato wedges
asparagus (in season right now, steamed!)
rice cakes

um, sure there's lots more!

Try him with most things you would eat, tbh - no salt, sugar, nuts or honey, I think, but most other things will be of interest to him. Have you tried Aitch's blog?

I did have a quick skim but DD won't let me have the time to have a proper look thru! I get about 10 mins of 'me' time a day so am really looking for fabulous lists from fabulous mums!

At 7 months pretty much anything goes, and provided everything the other end is OK, you can really let go and try just about anything - no salt, sugar, nuts or honey as Habbibu says and I also wouldn't try shellfish or pork/bacon (because of the salt content) just yet, but quiches and sandwiches are great finger food for helping develop that pincer grip and are not as messy as pasta, (although not as amusing ).

As I understand it nuts are okay IF there is NO history of allergy/eczema in family or baby. Otherwise avoid.
We are a non-atopic family and I introduced cashew nut butter on a rice cake yesterday to my 7 month old -went down very well!
Other things he enjoys are:
Cream cheese on rice cakes
Firm goats cheese
Omelettes (Spanish or French)
Lentil dahl with spinach and coconut (not very BLW as I spoon it in)
Tomato wedges
Proper chip-shop chips
Apricots
Strawberries
Bananas
Cucumber
Broccoli
Roast chicken
Lasagne

By nuts I meant whole nuts, as they can be a choking hazard - probably stating the obvious there, but never mind.
