At about 9-10 months. We cut the crusts off and cut them into mini mini triangles.

same as dizzy

Dd1 - well over a year but we had a real struggle with her as she didn't like finger foods. It took her over an hour to eat a small sandwich at first.

dd2 - 6 months, subject to the sandwich having a fairly soggy filling, e.g. tuna mayo Can eat it in about 5 minutes!

Same as DiscoDizzy about 9/10 months, though I cut them into really small squares so DS2 could pick them up eat them all in 1 mouthful IYSWIM. Now at 12 months he can eat sandwiches cut into quarters.

Ditto, I did them as fingers and filled them with things like grated cheese.

Not sure about when she could eat them easily but DD could eat pretty much any finger/self feed food, inc sandwiches, at around 8/9 months, despite having no teeth. She far preferred being able to feed herself than being spoon fed.

I look after a 7mo on a Monday. I gave him a sandwich today as he likes to have a go himslf too. I did pull it into tiny pieces as I sat near him to help him along.

7/8 months, but she's gone off them a bit now - 20 months. Presume she'll like them again at some point - she's oddly uninterested in bread and potatoes.

Thanks everyone! DS is almost 9 months old and I'm struggling to think of finger food lunches - if he eats any more scrambled egg he'll turn into tone Sandwiches are such great things for getting almost anything you want into them, but I wondered how well he'd cope with them as toast is a bit hit and miss. Anyhway, will try him today and see how he goes.
