i am seriously cheesed off with buying boxes of baby porridge which only seem to contain enough for 4/5 days. can anyone suggest a good alternative? is he too young for toast?

Normal porridge (no need to use baby stuff, I don't think)
Weetabix
Toast is fine too

Once you're doing eggs, eggy bread is yummy too
And you can ring the changes with porridge by adding various (cooked/raw) fruit

readybrek has no crap in and is a damn sight cheaper than baby porridge, but quicker than making 'real' porridge if you are pushed for time.
