Night weaning for 12 month old

Hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice please! My 12 month old is generally a good night sleeper but 70-80% of the time she has been waking once a night, the others she sleeps through. The easiest way to get her back to sleep was to quickly give her a bottle of formula and it would be no fuss and she’d go straight back down within 10 mins or so. I’ve now decided she’s a year I have to night wean her. The last 2 nights it’s taken an hour and a half for her to re settle with lots of crying. I’ve only given her water (and I did reduce her milk amounts leading up to this). It’s very hard to stay strong from 2-3:30 in the morning when all I want to do is go back to sleep but I have! Any tips or insights or success stories please? My husband and I desperately want her to fully sleep through and I know she’s not hungry because of how much food she eats in the day, plus she has only been crying when I leave the room. She is able to get herself to sleep fine in the day and when we put her down for bedtime. Many thanks!! ☺️

How long have you being trying to night wean for @Lyracat2024? It might take 2 or 3 days for her to realise there’s no milk coming at night.

A method that some people find useful is to reduce the milk by 1 Floz every couple of nights. Do you think they would work?

Thanks for your reply! Been doing it a week now, she’s been better the last few nights and hasn’t woken but I’m not sure it’ll last! I guess I just have to keep strong? I did try reducing the amounts prior to doing it!
