Where can I get one of those mats to put under a high chair? I am sick of the mopping!

I just bought a big sheet of wipable plastic from my local market off a roll, they are much bigger as my son can launch food quite far!!

I also have a dog who "helps" me clear up..

My suggestions are:

  1. Homebase/household shop to buy a see thru plastic strip (like your granny may have had to protect her hallway in the winter) You can buy it by the meter, and its no so obvious under the table as a proper mat.
  2. Early Learning centre play mat - HUGE, £6. Plain on one side, and roads printed on the other side.
  3. Mothercare sell them. Splash Mats. BUT, the Annabel Karmel one is far too small IMO. Their own brand one is bigger, but rather garish. I think AK one is £12 and own brand one is £8 ish.

I bought some PVC from my local fabric shop. they sell it by the metre as tablecloth and have many pretty/bright designs. It's wipe clean and easily folds up after mealtimes. I imagine it will come in useful for painting and other messy activities in the future!

I use a shower curtain (folded up), quick shake outside after meal times and chuck in washer once a week.

Oooh, I've been after a cheap splash mat and was just in Asda today! Will have a look next time I'm in there, good tip!

My asda doesn't have them - very annoying!
