How to wean a baby on comfort milk

did you wean and just keep baby on comfort formula? Isn’t it too thick to use in food or was that fine?

im worried about taking him off of comfort formula as he’s thriving (99th centile!) I put him on it as he struggled with constipation and this has been a life saver for us as he very rarely has problems now..also worried it’ll go back to the endless hours of screaming and anal tearing etc! Yes it was that bad🥲

@BunnyRuddington gp said won’t be that as he has no other symptoms at all apart from getting a belly ache then constipation when he has normal formula or instant milk..no rash rarely sick etc. just gave us laxatives for a just incase and recommended moving to comfort

i think your GP may be thinking of IGE symptoms? I have non-Ige CMPA and I’m not sick abd i dont get a rash.

Have a read of tge article I linked to and see if any of it sounds familiar Flowers

If he doesn't have CMPA (and it doesn't sound like he does. My son had severe CMPA), then I don't think weaning will be any different from whatever formula he was on. From 6 months you can use cows milk in food for cooking so there shouldn't be a need to use formula.
